Duisburg

Duisburg is Europe’s largest inland port, located at the confluence of the Rhine and Ruhr rivers. The city has a population of around half a million people. The University of Duisburg-Essen is one of the ten largest universities in Germany. The city’s history dates back to the 5th century AD, and it is rich in cultural attractions. The Duisburg football club was a finalist in the 2011 German Cup.
